Vokab Kompany:
"Seven piece hip-hop/electro group making some serious waves..." - URB Magazine
BIO: Vokab Kompany has burst on the scene after quickly ascending the rank of the west coast market. With relentless drive they have worked to combine high-energy stage performances, 7 piece live indie electro hip-hop (with a violinist to boot), with catchy hooks and a rhythm based harmonic vocal delivery to find themselves emerging from an underground electronic, hip-hop scene, which primarily embraces DJ's and MC's. While they still have an edge and integrity in their writing process/production, their songs have mass appeal. It's a sound that has deep indie roots, with forays into soul, funk and fresh west coast hip-hop laced over electronic beats and all performed LIVE!!
Their sophomore album "The New Kong" was released 10.31.09 and features a wide variety of cameos within hip-hop and beyond including: Grammy Nominated Lateef The Truth Speaker (Latyrz, Mighty Underdogs, Soulsides, Fat Boy Slim), Radioactive (Spearhead), MC Souleye (BLVD), Karen Mills (Jason Maraz), Deploi. Production from some of its top beat makers JBoogie (Dubtronic Science prod. w/ Talib Kwali etc.), Freddy Machete (pord. w/ Andre Nickatina, Keek The Sneak, Tech Ngne etc.), Solovox, Chip Chop and bands such as the Mutaytor (w/ Jonny Avila of Oingo Boingo).
Navigating through today's diverse and often fractured music industry with an unending commitment to their fans, Vokab Kompany is releasing "The New Kong" with their management and marketing company The Confluence. The album will be released direct to fans where their engagement and feedback will be woven into future releases.
"We are releasing this music independently because our music has an audience and it's all about them. So our voice, sound, and the effort we brought to this project both in the studio and on stage can finally have a chance to resonate within our community of listeners." -VK

Spinning late and often in Southern California's under- and above-ground dance, music, and art worlds, DJ Loomer’s sound is diverse, with sets ranging from tribal & tech house to dirty electro and the breaks. The Loomer has played many of LA's premiere venues including The Mayan, House of Blues Foundation Room, The Edison, Knitting Factory Hollywood, Skirball Center and Area 33, underground events Create:Fixate, Fable and LA Decompression (Disorient Stage), as well as international festivals Burning Man and Coachella. Resident DJ and music director for Bass Ritual and Area 33 with DJ and production partner DJ Saadhu, DJ Loomer is in it to bring the music to the people and bring the people together.
